Sleepy Saturday Roll Call
Yes, I am still awake. Gene and I need to un-wall paper our walls for the painter to come in next week. The rooms the GC is not working on he has agreed to have the painter paint them along with the rest of the house if we take the wall paper down and get all the glue off the walls. I totally dislike wallpaper!!!!! I will never put one piece of wallpaper on any wall in this house as long as I live or own the house. If not for the yard that came with this house, the yard is what sold us on this house.
Gene will probably be working all night on this, I'm exhausted so I'm heading to bed.
In the early AM I'll need to be awake, the sheet rock guys are coming at 7am to work on the taping, mudding, sanding, at least I think that's what Gene told me they are doing. Then I have an 8:30 am hair appt, Gene has one client in the AM, then when we get home it's back to the wall paper removal and me washing the glue off the walls - OH JOY!!!
We also have to pick up the Harley from the shop and bring our baby home. Maybe some flirting will get my honey to take me out on the bike once we get the other vehicle home and I can jump out of the car and onto the Harley......One can hope that will happen
Sometime over this weekend I have to read three papers and then decide which to write a reflection paper on. This is due Monday evening. I have absolutely no idea where I'm going to fit that in, unless I don't flirt with my honey to get a ride on the Harley - better yet think I'll procastinate on the paper, going for a ride, relieving some of this stress I think should take priority!
Hope everyone has a great day....my butt will be dragging I'm used to being in bed and sound asleep by 9pm.

I am also awake but for a much better reason than wallpaper removal!! I just returned home from a night out to celebrate a friends birthday with some great peeps!! It is almost 2:30am and I am still awake, UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Hopefully in a bit I will be going to sleep....wake up whenever!?!
Don't know what the rest of the day holds??? But that is ok!
Have a great day everyone!!!!!
Love to all, Beth

Ida sounds like a messy weekend for you with the wall paper. Hopefully you'll get that ride. Nothing says RELAX like a ride on the Harley. I'm rewarding myself with a trip to Seneca Allegheny Casino today. Little goals mean more rewards. Usually I reward myself with a piece of clothing every now and again or a nice long walk. Sad to leave my babies (cats) behind but they understand.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Well my pup Peanut woke me up to go out so here I am in the office while the Hubby is running on the treadmill. I am just starting to work on waking up sooo tired....lol
Saw my little nephew Andrew yesterday, omg what a cutie pie!!! I am in love with his little chubby cheeks and big blue eyes!!! What a doll! Then went out to dinner with the Hubby afterward, which is always nice. :-)
Today has me doing some errands and then straightening up around the house, putting laundry away (does laundry ever end???), doing some writing, and then just spending some quality with the Hubby and will be sorting thru the nursery stuff too!
Hope everyone has a terrific Saturday!!! Enjoy the sunshine but stay cool and hydrated!!!!
Much luv!!

It's my last full Saturday in FL so I think I will spend some time at the beach. It rains at some point every day, so it's looking like it might be best to go over early while the sky is blue. I take an umbrella and #50 sunscreen but am still getting a little bit of a tan. Nice thing about that is I feel no obligation to wear makeup when my skin has a little more natural color!
Then....clean up a bit, do some laundry, and pick up some shrimp. Yesterday my meals were a bit off - I ate small meals but nothing very substantial, and today I want a regular lunch or dinner!
Ida, are you using a steamer on the wallpaper? Our first house was a 1920's fixer upper and I had to spend an entire summer stripping woodwork and tearing down wallpaper. Funny thing is that we redid that house in 1980 - and about 6 years ago, I went past when they were having a garage sale. The lady invited me in and MY wallpaper, woodwork, and kitchen cabinet re-do were all still there, after all those years!
Take care everyone and enjoy your weekend!
Lynn;
No, the wallpaper is just coming off the wall, then Gene is spraying with a mixture of fabric softener, vinegar, and water to get off what looks like a fabric backing that stays stuck to the wall, then I'm coming behind him and wiping the walls down with ho****er until the glue comes off the wall.
This house will never see another piece of wall paper and if we ever sell and move I'll never purchase a house that is wallpapered again. Like I said in the original post, the wallpaper could have caused me to say no to this house, but the yard is what made me fell at home as soon as I stepped foot in it...

RIght now I'm sitting on Steffi's comfy new living room furniture and getting ready to head out for bday party #2 in NJ with Neil. We are going to hang out at the pool at the hotel before tonight's party. It will be another late night so I want to relax and will probably get a nap in somewhere, too. We'll grab dinner at some point, as well.
That's it for me today.. relaxing, driving, pool, party!!
